News Desk: Saudi Arabia has launched an electronic visa app for Hajj pilgrims planning to perform Umrah. From now on, you can apply for a visa through an app called Ui-Umrah. Visa will be issued within 24 hours of application. At a news conference on Thursday, Saudi Hajj and Umrah Minister Tawfiq al-Rabiah announced the launch of the electronic-Umrah visa app, Gulf News reported. Hajj and Umrah Minister Tawfiq Al Rabia said, “Visas will be issued within 24 hours of submitting the application in this app. The app will help pilgrims find accommodation and transport. ” He added, “The validity of Umrah visa has been extended from one to three months. People can travel to other cities in Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah without any restrictions. ” Earlier, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said that one million people would take part in this year's Hajj. Of this, 75 per cent will be allowed for foreigners, which means 6 lakh 50 thousand. And there will be 1 lakh 50 thousand domestic pilgrims. The ministry has set some conditions for foreign pilgrims this time. This includes not allowing people over the age of 65. Those who take part in the Hajj must be vaccinated with two doses of corona.
