News Desk: Western nations have been imposing sanctions on Russia since the start of the Ukraine war. The European Union (EU) has recently imposed a ban on Russian gas imports. Although some European countries did not agree. European leaders are considering imposing similar sanctions on Russian oil to push for a ceasefire. Reuters quoted Finance Minister Robert Habek as saying in an interview with a German television channel on Monday. He said everyone agreed on the new ban. The 28-nation bloc of the EU has decided to impose a complete ban on Russian oil imports in a few days. Most European countries are totally dependent on Russian oil and gas. Hungary, Portugal and Germany have been against the ban since the beginning. However, as there is no sign of an end to the war in Ukraine, this time Germany has also taken a stand in favor of sanctions.
