News Desk: Commodity prices are now out of control in the wake of the Ukraine-Russia war following the epidemic. In almost all countries, the poor and the middle class are constantly struggling to cope with the rising cost of living. Financially, low-income people are struggling to meet basic needs, such as food, education, and medical care. In such a situation, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has called on the government to provide food and fuel subsidies to the poorest sections of the society. In an interview with the BBC, IMF chief Kristalina Georgieva said: "People around the world are struggling with rising commodity prices. So people need to be subsidized in certain sectors. ” According to the BBC, government officials in many countries are helping the people, but critics say it is not enough. On the crisis of life, Georgieva added: "Priority must be given to two sections of society, one is the extremely poor, part of society that is still struggling to meet food and fuel costs. The second is the people involved in the war-torn business sectors in Ukraine. " The IMF works with governments to stabilize the world economy and increase prosperity. Food prices have risen at a record rate this year, as have oil and gas prices. Therefore, the company feels that the government in the country is facing new challenges to stabilize commodity prices.
