Abdul Awal, Thakurgaon: BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that the Awami League government has changed everything, changed the constitution. The motive of the constitution has changed. It has turned into a complete Awami Constitution. He said this while exchanging views with journalists at a meeting of the district volunteers at the district BNP office on Friday.

He said that there are 3 articles of the constitution which have been amended in the constitution, there will never be a hand in it. Lifelong, as long as Bangladesh exists, no hand can be given. In other words, the basic character of the constitution is a republic. The government elected by the people, the people can change this constitution is no more. Create an environment for elections by resigning the government and giving power to a neutral government. This is a big crisis in Bangladesh now, solve this crisis. He said, "Take the Leader of the Opposition to the Padma Bridge and throw him away. It is a terrible thing." There is no law, there is no law, a prime minister he said should be thrown away. It is not possible to accept. We strongly condemn and protest against this and repeatedly request that the environment of the country is deteriorating day by day. Make it at least a democratic environment without making it worse. He further said that in a program on the day of his return the day before yesterday, he spoke against the BNP, against the BNP leader Begum Khaleda Zia and against those who are respected in the country and international personalities. Even newspaper editors have spoken out against them, against economists. I strongly oppose and condemn it. It is the natural character of the A-League, always terrorized, to come to power. That's how they started to pay for the next election. We created such a situation in 2014, rigged, terrorized the elections and cheated the people. They did not give the people any chance to vote. Elected without voting in 154 seats. In the same way, thousands of BNP leaders and activists have been arrested and 19 candidates have been arrested, the courts have been used, the Election Commission has been used and they have come to power by using the state machinery the night before.

Mirza Fakhrul further said that these are the people whose history is not only today but also in 1973 when the Awami League was the sole dominant party and had popularity but they did not give any concessions in the elections. At that time one of the candidates in Daudkandi of Comilla stood against Khandaker Mostaq. The ballot boxes were brought to Dhaka by helicopter. The same has happened in Rashed Khan Menon's seat. This is their nature. In this way they want to exert power by force, by force. They have taken away that power too. In 1965, we all know that the Awami League established a one-party Bakshal by queuing in the parliament in 5 minutes. Now when I hear about democracy in their mouths, it is nothing but ridiculous and deceptive.

In the same way when he speaks against an editor it is independent that journalism is against that freedom. When he scolds a world-renowned economist, it creates a bad impression about Bangladesh. Even economists who have spoken of mega projects, of the thunderous signs of the economy, have not been spared. Among others, district BNP president Bir Muktijoddha Taimur Rahman, finance secretary Shariful Islam Sharif, district Swechchhasebak Dal president Sarkar Md Nuruzzaman Nuru, general secretary Md Sohel Rana and leaders of various BNP organizations were present at the time.
