News Desk: Facebook, the world's largest social networking site, has paid ৭ 396 to each of those users for collecting digital scanned faces of 1.6 million users without permission. The incident took place in the western US state of Illinois. The money was paid to users from Facebook's settlement fund in a lawsuit filed in an Illinois court in 2020, according to a report by US media outlet NBC News. It said 1.6 million Illinois residents had filed a lawsuit against Facebook for allegedly protecting digital images of users' faces without permission. The plaintiffs have already spent কোটি 98.5 million on lawyers' fees to handle the case. They have paid this fee by raising money among themselves.
