Hasan, Kurigram Correspondent: A month-long industrial-trade fair has started in Kurigram on the initiative of Police Women Welfare Association (Punak). Alhaj Mae Ponir Uddin Ahmed, Member of Parliament for Kurigram-2 constituency, inaugurated the month-long industry and trade fair at the traditional Kurigram Outer Stadium on Monday (May 16) evening with the initiative of Police Women Welfare Association (Punak). In his inaugural address, the chief guest thanked all those involved in organizing the fair and wished the overall success of the fair. Kurigram Punak President and Superintendent of Police Syeda Jannat Ara said the month-long fair was organized by the Police Women Welfare Association (Punak). The fair has stalls selling various products, shopping as well as healthy entertainment for children and teenagers. He urged everyone to come to the fair. The inaugural function was presided over by Punak President and Superintendent of Police Syeda Jannat Ara. President of Kurigram District Awami League and District Council Administrator Md. Zafar Ali, Kurigram-22 BGB Commander Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Mottakim, District Awami League General Secretary and Chairman of Sadar Upazila Parishad Aman Uddin Ahmed Monju and others. After the discussion, the Superintendent of Police handed over honorary crests and gifts to the invited guests. Well-known institutions of the country participated in the fair. Punak President and Superintendent of Police Syeda Jannat Ara visited the fair stalls with invited guests. Later pleasant cultural programs were held.
