Cricketer Musharraf Rubel is no more

Sports Desk: Former star player of Bangladesh national cricket team Mosharraf Hossain Rubel is no more. He breathed his last at his residence on Tuesday afternoon. The left-arm spinner of the national team has been suffering from brain tumor for almost three years.

Bangladesh lost two former cricketers on the same day. Samiur Rahman Sami, who played the first international match of the Bangladesh team, left for the land of no return around 9:15 am on Tuesday. He also had a brain tumor.

Rubel was admitted to a private hospital in the capital for the last few days. Then the rumor of death also spread through social media. However, the news proved wrong and Rubel went back home feeling a little better than before. But this time the last was not saved. The former cricketer of the national team left for the land of no return.

Cricketer Mosharraf Hossain Rubel was admitted to the ICU in October last year due to poor physical condition. After recovering from there, he went abroad for treatment. The last time a doctor came from India was on February 20. However, back in the country, he fell ill again. For this reason, Rubel was taken to ICU again after some time.

Rubel was knocked off the field in 2019 after being diagnosed with a brain tumor. Although he almost recovered from the treatment, a new tumor was found in his brain. Rubel's life was in danger when he was diagnosed with a new tumor. The life-and-death cricketer also received medical treatment in Singapore.

In the second week of November last year, Rubel's brain tumor was surgically removed again at a hospital in India. However, there has not been much improvement.

The age is only 39. Despite missing out on the national team, Rubel had a chance to further his rich domestic cricket career. Or, like some of his teammates in the national team, he could have settled down in coaching and sat in a chair of the Bangladesh Cricket Board. As Shahriar Nafees and Abdur Razzak are sitting. Rubel was rushed from one hospital to another. This time, Musharraf Rubel has left the world by proving all attempts to be false.
