News Desk: BNP general secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that the ruling Awami League wants to overcome the next national election dilemma by playing the election game.

Fakhrul said, "Election ahead, Awami League is playing drums now. In this election again that drum. By playing the election game, they want to cross the electoral hurdle again. '

He was speaking at a protest rally organized by the Nationalist Workers' Party in front of the National Press Club on Saturday (April 9th).

The rally was held to protest the rampant rise in prices of essential commodities including rice, pulses, oil, gas, electricity, suffering of working people, corruption all over the country and unconditional release of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia.

Demanding the release of Ishraq Hossain, Mirza Fakhrul said, "Cases are being filed against the leaders of the Labor Party. Because they protested. Today, they have started playing again with false cases against the leaders and activists. The Awami League wants to hold unilateral elections with false charges by holding the leaders and activists of the opposition. '

Referring to the outbreak of diarrhea, the BNP secretary general said, "Why are so many patients coming? Because all the tap water of Dhaka city is polluted. Line water smells and is loaded with bacteria. As a result, more than one and a half thousand people are being admitted to the hospital every day with diarrhea.

Criticizing the statement of the Information Minister, Fakhrul said that the BNP was behind the increase in commodity prices. If BNP can do everything, then why are you in power? Leave power. He gave power to BNP. See if we can run the country. '

He further said that prices of rice, pulses, oil and gas are out of control. Today the Awami League government has taken a stand against the workers, peasants and the people. Now we don't have time to sit at home. Change must come. In order to bring about this change, we have to unite to remove the terrible monstrous government. '

BNP Standing Committee Member Nazrul Islam Khan, Chairperson's Adviser Abdus Salam and Joint Secretary General Mojibur Rahman Sarwar addressed the rally under the chairmanship of Labor Party President Anwar Hossain.
