He was speaking as the chief guest at the concluding parade of trainee ratings of the 23rd batch of the National Maritime Institute and the 12th batch of the Madaripur branch at Saltgola in the metropolis on Saturday (April 2) morning.
He said a ship owned by Bangladesh Shipping Corporation got stuck in the Russia-Ukraine war. A sailor was killed in a rocket attack there. The survivors have been rescued from the ship and brought back to the country safely through the diplomatic efforts of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
