Two robbers were beaten to death in Manikganj

News Desk: Two ‘robbers’ were beaten to death when they were fleeing after committing robbery in a house in Manikganj Sadar upazila early Thursday.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

 

A group of robbers looted the house of Yousuf Ali, a former local Union Parishad member, at Banparil village around 5:00am, Abdur Rouf Sarker, officer-in-charge of Manikganj Sadar Police.

 

When they were fleeing, a local man made an announcement on loudspeaker about the robbery from a nearby mosque. The villagers then caught two of the robbers and gave them a good thrashing, leaving both of them dead on the spot, the OC said.

The bodies were sent to hospital morgue for autopsies.

A process is underway to file a case in the regard.
