Savar Correspondent: Japan's Ambassador to Dhaka Ito Naoki said that Japan will stand by the present government in any need of Bangladesh.

He said this after paying homage to the heroic martyrs with flowers at the Savar National Memorial on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of independence at 7.30 am on Thursday.

At the same time, he said, Japan is assisting in many big projects in Bangladesh, including Metrorail, Matarbari power and deep sea projects and two and a half thousand economic zones. Besides, big projects like Padma bridge are also going on. Once these projects are completed, Bangladesh will make unprecedented progress.

The Ambassador to Dhaka also said that Bangladesh has been able to deal with Corona under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. So Japan is always on the side of Bangladesh.

At this time, after paying homage, he observed a minute of silence in the memory of the martyrs.

The Japanese Ambassador was welcomed at the memorial by Savar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mazharul Islam, Public Works Department Chief Tree Keeper Bidh Kudrot E Khoda, Savar Public Works Department Sub-Divisional Engineer Al Ahsan Atiq, Memorial Deputy Assistant Engineer Mizanur Rahman and Deputy Assistant Engineer Abul Baar. .
