From today, the Appellate Division is sitting virtually

News Desk: Due to the increase in coronary heart disease, the Judiciary of the Appellate Division and the High Court Division of the Supreme Court will be conducted virtually from today. In the meantime, the virtual trial has started in the Appellate Division from 9 am.

The trial began at 9am on Wednesday (January 19) in a six-judge appellate bench headed by Chief Justice Hasan Fayez Siddiqui. The virtual trial will start from 10:30 am in the High Court Division.

Chief Justice Hasan Fayez Siddiqui yesterday decided to virtually conduct the proceedings of the Appellate Division and the High Court Division of the Supreme Court to increase the transmission. Later, the Registrar General of the Supreme Court. Ali Akbar issued a separate notification in this regard.

Judicial proceedings of all the benches of the Appellate Division and the High Court Division of the Supreme Court will be conducted using virtual presence using information technology from next Wednesday (January 19) considering the transition situation, the two notifications said.

Yesterday morning, Chief Justice Hasan Fayez Siddiqui said that the way corona infection is increasing, we have to go virtually. Thirteen judges of the High Court Division were attacked by Corona. Many staff of the Supreme Court have also been affected. In such a situation, it will be difficult to conduct court proceedings in physical presence. Meanwhile, many lower court judges have also been affected by the corona.

22 Assistant Judge Corona attacked, training stopped

Earlier, 22 Assistant Judges (Judicial Magistrates) of different courts of the country were attacked by Corona while she was undergoing training at the National Judicial Training Institute in the capital. The two-month training program was later discontinued, leaving it unfinished. At present, 22 assistant judges with corona have been kept in isolation at the National Judicial Training Institute.

The attorney general's corona was identified

The state's chief legal officer, Attorney General AM Amin Uddin, has also been infected with the coronavirus. Attorney General AM Amin Uddin himself confirmed the matter.
