News Desk: Due to the rising prevalence of coronavirus infection in the country, Chief Justice Hasan Fayez Siddiqui has decided to conduct the judicial proceedings of both the Appellate and High Court divisions virtually from Wednesday (January 19).
On Tuesday (January 18), the Supreme Court administration issued a separate notification in this regard.
Earlier in the morning, when the judicial proceedings of the Appellate Division started, Chief Justice Hasan Fayez Siddiqui said that 13 judges of the High Court Division were affected by Corona. Besides, many staff of the Supreme Court have been attacked. At the same time, many lower court judges are also affected by the Corona, in which case it will be difficult to run the court.
He further added that in the current situation of Corona infection, it seems that the virtual court has to be run again. Virtual cases are less likely to be settled, but virtually more are settled.
From the beginning of the new year, the coronavirus infection in the country gradually began to increase. Infections have been on the rise, especially since last one week. In view of this, the government has been enforcing 11-point restrictions across the country since January 13.
