News Desk: Awami League nominated boat candidate and district Awami League vice-president Uma Chowdhury Jolly has been elected in Natore municipality. He became the mayor for the first time in electronic voting machine (EVM) voting. Sunday night (January 18) Natore Municipality Returning Officer.

Aslam officially announced the result. According to the announced results, the boat candidate Uma Chowdhury Jolly got 20,659 votes and was elected unofficially. His nearest rival independent candidate Sheikh Emdadul Haque Al Mamun got 13,062 votes.

Besides, the general councilors who won the election are- Malay Kumar Roy, Zahidur Rahman Zahid, Md. Farid Ahmed, Akib, Ariful Islam Masum, Nafiul Islam Antar, Sheikh Rubel Hossain, Rana Hossain, Nargis Parveen in ward nos. Kohinoor Begum Panna in the ward.
