17 killed in truck collision in West Bengal, India

At least 16 people have been killed in a horrific road accident in West Bengal, India. Several others were injured in the incident. The death toll is expected to rise. The accident took place on Saturday (November 26) at around 2 am.

According to Indian media G News, Sraboni Muhuri, a resident of Parmadan Forest area of ​​Baghdad Police Station in North 24 Parganas, died of the disease. About 40 people, including family and neighbors, were traveling to New Island in a truck to bury his body. At around 2pm, a truck carrying cremators hit the back of a truck parked on the road near Phulbari playground in Nadia. This is where the casualties occurred.

At least 16 people, including the driver, have been killed so far in the tragic accident. The dead included 10 men, six women and a child. The dead child was 8 years old.

After this horrible accident, unrest spread in the area. All of them, including the body of the deceased Sraboni Muhuri, were taken to Krishnanagar District Hospital. Doctors on duty declared 13 people dead there. Shortly afterwards, four more were pronounced dead. The rest are undergoing treatment.
