Raushan Ershad in ICU again

News Desk: Opposition Leader of Parliament and Jatiya Party's main patron Raushan Ershad has been taken to ICU again due to deteriorating physical condition. Saad Ershad, who is staying in Thailand, gave this information at 11:20 am Bangladesh time on Saturday (November 26).

It is learned that Raushan Ershad, who is undergoing treatment at Bamrungrad Hospital in Bangkok, was taken to the ICU for the second time on November 25 from his cabin due to some other physical complications including loss of oxygen saturation.

Earlier, after leaving Bangladesh on November 5, he was admitted directly to the ICU. He was then taken to the cabin when his physical condition improved somewhat. He had to be taken to ICU again in a few days.

Saad Ershad said he was taken to ICU due to lack of oxygen saturation. Also the phlegm was frozen. His condition is actually the same as before. Not too serious. But ICU is a matter of fear.

Saad Ershad further said that the doctors are giving treatment. I am no longer a doctor. As a result, it is not possible for me to understand everything about the treatment.

It is learned that Raushan Ershad is suffering from various diseases besides aging problems. Meanwhile, an infection appeared in his left leg. Besides, various diseases including diabetes have appeared in the body of these veteran politicians.

Saad Ershad further said that the infection in Ammar's leg is being removed slowly. These will take time to fully recover.

On the afternoon of November 5, Raushan Ershad was taken to Thailand by air ambulance for advanced treatment. He is accompanied by his son and Jatiya Party joint secretary general Rahgir Al Mahi Saad Ershad and daughter-in-law Mahima Ershad.

It is to be mentioned that on 14th August, Raushan Ershad had a complication in his lungs. As oxygen levels began to drop, he was admitted to the Combined Military Hospital. He was kept in ICU for some time. If the condition improves somewhat is taken to the cabin. While in hospital, his condition deteriorated again on October 20. Later he was taken to ICU in the second phase.

Earlier, Raushan Ershad returned home on May 23 after receiving treatment at the hospital for 24 consecutive days. Jatiya Party founder and former president late Hussain Muhammad Ershad's wife Raushan Ershad Mymensingh is a Member of Parliament for 4 constituencies. He has been the Leader of the Opposition in Parliament for the last two terms.
