Such a tragic incident has taken place in Narina Union of the upazila. Police recovered the body of a young man named Karim (18) on Friday (November 26) afternoon. Four people, including parents, have been arrested in the incident. Shahjadpur police on Friday morning detained Korna Begum and her husband Alhaj for questioning on the basis of secret information. It was later learned that the deceased Karim was their child. According to Shahjadpur police sources, the parents of the deceased said that the body of their son Karim was dumped in the septic tank of the house and covered with sand. Regarding the death of their son, they said that Karim was addicted to various drugs including Dandy for a long time. After dinner on Tuesday (November 23), Karim lay down in his room. The next morning, Karuna Begum called her son Karim. Without any response, he peeked out of the little boy's house and saw his body hanging from the wall. Later, the husband and wife unloaded the body and left it in the septic tank of the house and covered it with sand.

The couple said the reason for keeping the body in the septic tank was that the eldest son's wife had committed suicide by writing a letter two years ago. In this incident they spent about two and a half lakh rupees and disappeared. If people know the news of this suicide again, this time their current home will not be there. So they hid the body. Alhaj, the father of the deceased Karim, said that it was difficult to bear the death of his son.

So on Friday morning he described the incident to Garadaha UP chairman Saiful Islam. It was not possible to contact the Garadaha UP chairman to know his statement in this regard. Shahjadpur Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahid Mahmud Khan told bdnews24.com that Karim's parents, brother and sister-in-law had been detained for questioning to ascertain whether it was murder or suicide. The exact cause of death will be known after receiving the autopsy report.
