News Desk: Faruk Hasan, president of the Garment Owners and Exporters Association (BGMEA), said the garment industry is reviving with the help of the government. Initiatives have been taken to re-open the garment factories which were closed and fell ill during the Corona period.
He made the remarks after paying homage at Bangabandhu's tomb at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Friday (October 22nd). Meanwhile, SM Abdul Mannan Kochi, vice-president of BGMEA and general secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan North Awami League, said the party was being strengthened by forming committees at the grassroots level under the leadership of renegade leaders.
After paying their respects, the BGMEA President took part in a special munajat seeking forgiveness of the souls of Bangabandhu and the martyred members of his family. Mizanul Islam Mizu, Information and Research Secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan North Awami League and the directors of the newly formed BGMEA were present at the time.
