Five companies have been fined for producing and stocking adulterated food

News Desk: RAB's mobile court has fined five companies Tk 560,000 for producing, storing and selling unhealthy food, counterfeit and unlicensed lubricants in the capital's Jatrabari area.

RAB-10 Assistant Director (Media) ASP Enayet Kabir Shoaib confirmed the information on Friday (October 22) afternoon. He said, the capital's Jatrabari Demra area under the RAB Executive Magistrate. The mobile court was run by Mazharul Islam, BSTI and RAB-10. ASP Enayet Kabir Soyeb said Asad Consumer and Food Products was fined Tk 100,000, Premix Lubricants Tk 300,000, Bangladesh Bakery and Confectionery Tk 2,000 and Chan Tara Bakery Uncard for Tk 1 lakh for unauthorized unhealthy food, counterfeit and unlicensed lubricant products during the operation.

A thousand rupees and Asia Bakery and Confectionery were fined one lakh rupees. Besides, on the orders of the executive magistrate, the mobile court seized and destroyed 220 liters of fake grease, 315 liters of fake mobil and adulterated food worth around Tk 3 lakh. He added that for some time now, these unscrupulous traders have been producing, storing and selling unhealthy food, counterfeit and unlicensed lubricants.
