Benapole Correspondent: Import-export trade has resumed through Benapole port after a four-day holiday on the occasion of Durga Puja. At the end of the holiday, government officials and employees have already joined the work. The work has returned to the port. Trade between the two countries resumed on Saturday morning. Earlier, the port was closed from October 12 to October 15 during the Durga Puja holiday.

Saifur Rahman Mamun, revenue officer of the cargo branch of Benapole port, said that import and export through Benapole Petrapole port was closed for four days from October 12 to October 15 on the occasion of Durga Puja. Import-export trade has started from Saturday morning. Passport passenger movement between the two countries was normal at the Benapole-Petrapole checkpost during the four days of import-export ban.

Abdul Jalil, acting director of Benapole port, said trade at Benapole port was closed for four days during the Durga Puja holiday. No goods were imported at that time. After the holiday on Saturday, import-export trade between the two countries has returned to normal. All the port officials and employees who went on leave joined the workplace. All concerned have been instructed so that the traders can unload the imported and exported goods from the port quickly. He also said that the Customs House has been working relentlessly in compliance with the proper hygiene norms to revive the country's economy and supply goods during the Corona period.
