Tentulia (Panchagarh) Correspondent: On the occasion of Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the traditional religion, the country's only quadrilateral land port (Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Bhutan) through Banglabandha land port has been declared closed for 7 consecutive days. Abdul Latif Tarin, president of the Banglabandha Land Port Import-Export Group, and Jahangir Alam, general secretary of the C&F Association, confirmed the matter on Sunday (October 10th).

The Fulbari Export and Import Welfare Association of India and Banglabandha Land Port Import-Export Group have discussed and decided to stop import-export and commercial activities for a total of 7 days from Monday to Saturday, October 11 (including public holidays) on the occasion of Durga Puja. Trade between the two countries will resume as usual from Saturday, October 16.

Immigration OC Nazrul Islam said that even if the import-export activities are stopped at the port on the occasion of Durga Puja, the passage of passengers with passports will remain normal. Revenue officials Shahidul Islam and Abdur Razzak said all services related to the port would continue even if import-export and trade activities were suspended for seven days.
