Nilphamari Correspondent: At a gathering of freedom fighters in Nilphamari, Minister for Freedom Fighters Affairs AQM Mozammel Haque said that the language of politics is to fight from the field. The Awami League has been out of power for 29 long years and has been doing politics from the field in spite of many adverse conditions. The Awami League has never engaged in the politics of vandalism. We have moved peacefully.

Pointing to a party, he added that they are not coming to the people and are carrying on politics with speeches and statements on radio and television. It is not a political process. They are lagging behind in the process of forming public opinion by holding street rallies, meetings and processions from the streets.

He added that a comprehensive list of freedom fighters has already been published online. Certificates will be issued soon after publishing their final list. He said this while addressing a rally at a local college ground after inaugurating Nilphamari Sadar and Syedpur Upazila Muktijoddha Complex buildings at noon on Tuesday. Asaduzzaman Nur, MP of Nilphamari-02 constituency, Rabeya Alim, MP of reserved constituency, Joynal Abedin, chairman of district council, freedom fighter Joynal Abedin, Hafizur Rahman Chowdhury, deputy commissioner and Kantibhushan Kundu were present at the time.
