Sports Desk: Rajasthan Royals ended their IPL mission with an 8-run defeat to Kolkata Knight Riders on Thursday night. With this defeat, Bangladesh's cutter master Mostafizur Rahman's team has set an embarrassing record. Although Mostafiz was unbeaten with the bat. In reply to Kolkata's 181 runs in the match, Rajasthan was all out for only 75 runs.

In the previous match against Mumbai Indians, Mostafiz managed to score only 90 runs. In other words, their total collection is 175 runs in two matches. Which is the lowest run record in two matches between IPL teams. For so long this record was in the name of Kochi Tuskers Kerala. They scored 109 and 64 runs in two consecutive matches in the 2011 edition. Besides, in 2016, Royal Challengers Bangalore were all out for 49 and 134 runs and set a record of 173 runs in two matches. It is now occupied by Rajasthan. Rajasthan also set a record for the highest margin of loss in the IPL against Kolkata. Earlier in 2009, the champions of the first edition of the IPL lost by 75 runs after chasing 134 runs against Bangalore.

On the other hand, it was Kolkata's second highest run-scoring victory. Rajasthan lost 6 wickets for only 35 runs in this match. No other team in the history of IPL has lost 6 wickets for so few runs before. Earlier in 2016, Bangalore had lost 6 wickets for 42 runs against Kolkata. They were all out for 49 runs that day. With this, for the sixth time, Kolkata bowled out the opponent before 100 runs. Mumbai Indians and Bangalore have also bowled out their opponents below 100 six times.
