The Russell couple is being taken to Gulshan police station

News Desk: Shamima Nasrin, chairman of online product e-commerce company Evali, and her husband Mohammad Russell, managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO) of the company, are being taken to Gulshan police station after interrogation at RAB headquarters.

On Friday (September 17) at around 12:30 pm, RAB members took the Russell couple in a white RAB private car to Gulshan police station. Commander Khandaker Al Moin, director of the RAB's legal and media wing, confirmed the matter to Jago News. Earlier, at an official press conference at 12 noon, Khandaker Al Moin, Commander of RAB's Legal and Media Wing, said that Shamima Nasrin, Chairman of Evali, an online e-commerce company, and Mohammad Russell, Managing Director (MD) and CEO of the organization He used to get a salary of 5 lakh rupees.

They use two expensive private cars (Range Rover and Audi) at the expense of the company. He said Evali currently has around Rs 3 million in various bank accounts. In addition, in some gateways, 30-35 crore customers' money has been seized, said Russell in the preliminary interrogation. Referring to the initial interrogation of the detainees, the RAB official further said that Russell completed his Masters from a university in 2006 and later his MBA in 2013. He taught at a coaching center from 2009 to 2011. He started working in the banking sector in 2011.

After working for about 6 years, he left his job in the bank in 2016 and started his business. At first he traded in an item used by children for about a year and later he sold that business. In 2016, he took the initiative to establish Evali with the money he had earned earlier. Evali's activities started in December 2016. He is the MD and CEO of the company and his wife is the chairman.
