Instructed to keep CNG filling station closed for six hours

News Desk: The Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources has directed to keep the CNG filling station closed from 5 pm to 11 pm. The ministry's deputy chief information officer Mir Mohammad Aslam Uddin confirmed the information on Monday (September 13th). He also said that the decision will be effective from September 15.

Mohammad Aslam Uddin said the decision was taken to increase gas supply to the power plant. This decision will remain in effect until further notice.
  
Meanwhile, a letter has been sent to the chairman of Petrobangla from the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources on the issue.

The decision was taken at a virtual meeting held on July 19 in the presence of the Prime Minister's Adviser on Power, Energy and Mineral Resources and chaired by the Minister of State for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources. CNG stations should be kept closed during daily peak hours.

In the light of that decision, the chairman of Petrobangla was instructed in a letter to keep the CNG station closed during the daily peak hours of electricity (from 5 pm to 11 pm) and to take necessary steps to publish the matter in the form of a notification in at least three dailies.
