Earlier on Thursday (September 2) night, the education minister told a private TV channel that there would be no need to extend the ongoing holidays of educational institutions. Experts believe that the rate of infection has begun to decline. It will decrease further in the coming days. As a result, there will be no need to extend the holiday till September 11. As a result, if we want, we can open the educational institution from September 12, if there is no big problem in it. If the educational institution is opened, proper monitoring will also be ensured. ' In the context of vaccinating students against corona. Dipu Moni said, "Arrangements have been made to vaccinate 18-year-old students. Arrangements are also being made to vaccinate teachers as well as family members of those working in educational institutions. The existence of coronavirus was detected in Bangladesh on March 6 last year. The first death was reported on March 17 by the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR). The government announced the closure of all educational institutions in the country from March 16 of that year to prevent the spread of the deadly virus. After that the leave was extended in stages as the infection situation did not improve much.
At the beginning of this year, when the infection came under control, several educational institutions were prepared to open, but in the end it was not possible. In the last announcement on August 26, the leave of the educational institution was extended by one more point till September 11. On the same day, the education minister said, "There is no opportunity to keep the educational institutions closed." There is pressure from school-college and student-parents, even if it is opened, there is a risk of corona infection.
If the overall infection rate falls below 10 percent, we want to open educational institutions. ' According to the Department of Health on Thursday, in the last 24 hours, the detection rate in the country is 10.40 percent, which was 10.11 percent the day before.
