The country's foreign exchange reserves increased to 48 billion

News Desk: For the first time in the country, the foreign exchange reserves have exceeded ৮ 46 billion. At the end of the day on Tuesday (August 24), the amount of foreign exchange reserves exceeded 47.04 billion dollars, Bangladesh Bank said.

Kazi Chaidur Rahman of Bangladesh Bank told reporters that the country's foreign exchange reserves can be used to meet the import cost for the next 10 months. Earlier, on June 29 this year, the amount of foreign exchange reserves exceeded 46 billion.
 
According to central bank sources, export earnings have increased with remittances sent by expatriates. As a result, reserves have exceeded িয়ন 46 billion. For the first time, the country's foreign exchange reserves crossed বিল 35 billion on June 23 last year. Prior to that, on June 3, reserves exceeded বিল 34 billion. September 1 crossed 39.30 billion dollars.
 
Despite the slowdown in foreign trade due to the corona virus, expatriate income has helped increase foreign exchange reserves. Investment from developing partners has also started coming to the country, central bank officials said. Earlier, on September 5, 2016, the country's foreign exchange reserves stood at দশ 33.6 billion.
