Rice Import Through Hily Border from India through land port

Healy Correspondent: After the normal price of rice in the country has been closed for three and a half months, rice import from India has started again through Healy land port at low tariff. The operation started on Tuesday afternoon when a truck loaded with rice from India entered the port. The rice is imported by Healy's Hrithik Enterprise.

 The matter has been confirmed by Harun Ur Rashid Harun, President of Healy Land Port Import-Export Group.

Lalit Kesra, owner of the importing company, said, "The government decided to import rice from India to keep the country's market normal. Then we apply to the food ministry for rice import." On the 16th of August, we were preparing to import rice to India to get permission to import rice, but there is a little problem in importing rice due to the increase in the price of rice. But today we have a truck loaded with rice from India. If the price is good then I will import more.

Healy Customs Deputy Commissioner Kamrul Islam said importers have started importing rice from India at 25 per cent duty. As soon as the duty is paid, we allow the unloading of the rice. On the first day, 28 metric tons of rice was imported in a truck through this port.
