News Desk: Outbreak of dengue is increasing along with corona. In this situation, the Department of Primary Education (DPE) has given seven instructions to all government primary schools to prevent dengue. Schools have been asked to take necessary steps to implement the directive.

The Department of Primary Education (DPE) on Wednesday (July 26) issued an order to all education offices and educational institutions to prevent dengue.

The instructions are-

Offices, educational institutions and surrounding areas where there is a possibility of clear water storage (roof of the institution, building under construction, flower tub, garden, drain, water tap area, water pump, fridge or AC water storage area, water vessel, bucket, high-commode, Ice cream boxes, plastic boxes, coconut shells, coconut garlands, tires, etc.) have to be identified and cleaned one day at a time.

Unused water containers should be destroyed or inverted so that water does not freeze.

In a high-commode, the lid should be kept closed by pouring harpic, in a low-commode pan, pour the harpic and keep the mouth closed with a sack or something else.

If there is stagnant water in any place, larvicide should be sprayed or stagnant water should be drained.

Mosquito nets must be used while sleeping during the day or at night.

Ensure coordinated participation with city corporations or municipalities in dengue prevention activities.

Besides, the Department of Primary Education has advised the concerned to seek the advice of a doctor without panicking over dengue fever.
