People who do not have NID will get vaccinated in a special process

News Desk: People who do not have National Identity Card (NID card) will be registered in a special process to be vaccinated against coronavirus. As per the decision of the inter-ministerial meeting on July 26, a letter was sent to the senior secretary of information and communication technology department, senior secretary of local government department and senior secretary of health services department from the cabinet department on Thursday (July 29).

According to the decision of the inter-ministerial meeting chaired by Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan in the Cabinet Division on July 26, the registration will be completed using national identity card (NID card) at the union level from August 8. It further said that arrangements will be made to vaccinate such people above the age of 18 years without any NID card by completing the registration process in a special process.

Besides, special measures have to be taken to take the public to the immunization center. However, the details of what the special process will be are not mentioned in the letter. Copies of this letter have been sent to the Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister, Secretary to the Election Commission Secretariat, all Divisional Commissioners, Director General of the Department of Health, all Deputy Commissioners (DCs).

After an inter-ministerial meeting chaired by the Home Minister at the Cabinet Division on July 26, Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Malek told reporters, "We attach great importance to vaccination. That is why we are setting up vaccination centers in the Union Parishad at the Union level. From where all the people of the union, our people who want to get vaccinated, they can come there and get vaccinated. We are making this advantage.

They can actually get vaccinated with NID card. ' The health minister also said that the corona vaccination program will start from August 8 at the union level.
