Coronavirus: The highest number of 247 deaths in a single day in the country, an identification record

News Desk: In the last 24 hours, 246 people have died due to coronavirus. This is the highest death record in a single day in the country. The total number of deaths in the country stands at 19,521.

15 thousand 192 people have been newly identified in 24 hours. This is also the record of the highest number of attacks in the country in one day. With this, the total number of identities in the country increased to 11 lakh 69 thousand 728 people. Earlier, on July 13, the second highest number of 13,006 people were infected.

The information was given in a regular press release on Monday (July 26) from the Department of Health.

Earlier, 228 people were killed on Sunday, 195 on Saturday, 17 on Friday, 18 on Thursday, 173 on Wednesday and 200 on Tuesday. On July 7, for the first time, the death toll in the country exceeded 200. 201 people died on this day.

A statement from the health department said 11,052 people had recovered from the corona in 24 hours. So far a total of 10 lakh 9 thousand 923 people have recovered.

Samples were collected from 53,316 people in 24 hours. 50 thousand 952 have been tested. The detection rate is 29.62 percent compared to the sample test. So far, a total of 85 lakh 8 thousand 233 samples have been tested in the country. Compared to the total test, the detection rate is 15.62 percent.

Of those killed in the last 24 hours, 72 were from Dhaka division. Besides, 61 people died in Chittagong, 21 in Rajshahi, 48 in Khulna, 12 in Barisal, 14 in Sylhet, 18 in Rangpur and 5 in Mymensingh.

Of those killed in the last 24 hours, 141 were men and 106 were women. Of these, 26 died at home. One person was brought to the hospital dead. The rest died at the hospital. The total number of deaths from the virus so far is 13,340 in males and 7,171 in females. In addition, 59 people aged 51 to 60, 30 people aged 41 to 50, 18 people aged 31 to 40, 3 people aged 21 to 30 and 2 people aged 11 to 20 died.

On March 8 last year, the first 3 people in the country were diagnosed with coronavirus. Ten days later, on March 17, the first person in the country died of the virus.
