News Desk: Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Atiqul Islam has said that about eight lakh masks with hand sanitizers will be distributed at the sacrificial animal markets to ensure hygiene. The DNCC mayor was speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the virtual 'Mask Amar, Suraksha Sabar' campaign on Friday (July 18) morning. "In the current Corona situation, we need to manage Corona by properly adhering to the hygiene rules, including wearing a mask, for the needs of life and livelihood," he said.
The DNCC mayor called on the wealthy members of the society to provide high-flow nasal canola machines in hospitals to save the lives of people infected with the coronavirus. He said the DNCC is continuing its all-out activities for the welfare of the people including distribution of adequate number of health care items to deal with the Corona situation. On the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, Mayor Atiqul Islam advised to buy sacrificial animals from DNCC Digital Hat-2021 online without going to the market in person.
The inaugural function was conducted by Shakti Foundation Deputy Executive Director Imran Ahmed and was attended by Chittagong City Corporation Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak, Deputy Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury and DNCC CEO Selim Reza.
