Payment of fees to JOB students and extension of mid-examination period

JOB Correspondent: Due to the sudden increase in the rate of coronavirus infection, the semester final examination has been postponed and the time limit for admission and examination fee and mid-taking has been extended considering the health protection of teachers, students and all those involved in the examination.

A press release from the university's public relations, information and publications department said on Tuesday (July 13th).

The statement said that due to the dire situation in the country at present, considering the health protection of all teachers, students and all those involved in the examination, all the students who could not be admitted by June 26, 2021 will be admitted online by August 16, 2021. The admission process has to be completed through. The Academic Branch of the Registrar's Office and the ICT Cell of the University will take necessary steps in this regard.

The notification further said that the students who could not fill the form by the previously announced date of June 29 (all semesters) will be able to complete the form online by August 16, 2021 without penalty. All the institutes and departments and the ICT cell of the university will take necessary steps in this regard.

It has also been said that instead of the previously announced date of 16th July 2021, the course teacher will complete the midterm examination at his own discretion (Assignment, Google Form, Viva, MCQ, Quiz, etc.) by 16th August 2021 at a convenient time. The online teaching program will continue as usual.

An emergency meeting of the university's deans committee on Tuesday postponed the semester exams from August 10 due to the deteriorating situation in Corona and decided to reschedule the exams by four weeks.

At a meeting of the Academic Council on June 13 this year, it was decided to start the examinations of Jagannath University for various years from August 10 and instructed the students to complete the admission process by June 28 and fill up all the semester forms online by June 29. It was later extended till July 12 and the deadline for filling up the form was extended till July 14.

In view of the coronavirus epidemic situation, all delay fees for undergraduate (honors) and postgraduate students of Jagannath University were waived from January 2021 to March 2021 till July 14, 2021.
