Rape of a disabled girl at Harirampur in Manikganj

Manikganj Correspondent: A man has been arrested for raping a disabled girl in Harirampur, Manikganj. Accused Bayat Hossain was arrested from Balla Loha Chala (Dadrukhi) area of ​​Harirampur upazila on Saturday night. The arrested Bayat Hossain, 50, is the son of Baher Ali of Loha Chala (Dadrukhi) village in Balla union of the upazila.

Harirampur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Syed Mizanur Islam said, ‘On July 6, at around 5 am, the mother and father of the girl went to pick chillies in the field of Barga Chashi in the adjoining Hampania area, leaving the disabled girl asleep at Dadrukhi's house. At around 8 in the morning, he found the disabled girl alone at home and raped her. The girl's father filed a case with the police on Friday under the Women and Child Abuse Prevention Act. The accused Bayat Hossain has been arrested and sent to court. During the preliminary interrogation, he confessed to the rape.
