Another 14 people died at Mymensingh Medical College

Mymensingh Correspondent: Another 14 people have died in the last 24 hours at Mymensingh Medical College (MMEC) Hospital. The corona of six of the dead was identified. Another eight died of corona symptoms.

Momek Hospital Medicine Department Consultant and Corona Unit Spokesperson. Md. Mohiuddin Khan has confirmed this information. The deceased have been identified as Mofizur (65), Shahidul (45) of Mymensingh Sadar, Mozammel Haque (60) of Ishwarganj, Sirajul Islam (60) of Gafargaon, Sahera (60) of Netrokona Sadar and Abdul Matin (7) of Purbadhala. Abdul Jalil (60) of Mymensingh Sadar, Mokhlesur (65), Mir Jan (60), Bhalukar Ali Newaz (55), Kulsum (55) of Gafargaon, Abdus Samad (65) of Sherpur Sadar and Jhinai were also killed in the incident. Jayatiya Rani (40) and Abdul Jalil (57) of Tangail. Dr. Md. Mohiuddin Khan further said that at present 37 patients are admitted in the corona unit of Momek Hospital.

Of these, 20 are admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Meanwhile, according to the District Civil Surgeon's Office, in the last 24 hours, 69 samples have been tested in the district and 18 corona have been identified. Of these, 116 were identified in the rapid antigen test and 60 in the RT PCR test. The detection rate is 26.95 percent. Meanwhile, according to the latest corona test report sent from Mymensingh Civil Surgeon's Office on Thursday night, 100 people from Mymensingh Sadar, 18 from Nandail, five from Ishwarganj, eight from Gauripur, three from Phulpur, two from Tarakanda, one from Haluaghat, 14 from Fulbaghar and 14 from Muktagachhar. John, 13 from Trishal, four from Bhalukar and six from Gafargaon have been identified as corona. Of these, 104 patients are admitted in Momek Hospital and 13 in different Upazila Hospitals. So far, a total of 9,438 corona have been identified in the district. Besides, 98 people have died.
