Provision of humanitarian assistance to the unemployed and destitute by the army members of Ramu Cantonment

News Desk: The government has announced a strict lockdown from July 1 to prevent the spread of corona virus across the country. As part of raising public awareness against the outbreak of the corona virus, the 10th Infantry Division of the Bangladesh Army has continued its overall activities in the tourist city of Cox's Bazar district and several upazilas of greater Chittagong district to assist the civilian administration. In addition to enforcing the lockdown, the army is providing food aid to the unemployed and distressed people.

Following this, the army members of Ramu Cantonment delivered relief to 1000 (one thousand) unemployed and poor people in the remote areas of Cox's Bazar Sadar and Ramu Upazila yesterday (July 9). In addition, today (July 10) in Chittagong district 750 (seven hundred and fifty) and 250 (two hundred and fifty) poor people in Chakoria upazila, the army members of Ramu cantonment delivered rice, pulses, potatoes, onions, oil, salt and other daily necessities.

The local people have appreciated this great initiative of the army.
