No one responsible for Rupganj fire will be spared: Quader

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has expressed his condolences to the bereaved families over the tragic fire at the Sejan Juice factory in Rupganj, Narayanganj.

He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina herself was monitoring the matter. An investigation committee has already been formed into the incident. According to the investigation report, strict action will be taken against those who are responsible. No one will be spared.

Obaidul Quader made the remarks while participating in a discussion meeting organized on the occasion of the centenary of Bangabandhu Adarsh ​​Forum on Saturday (July 10). He joined the virtual ceremony from the government residence.

Quader said, if we want to make Bangladesh dignified, we have to hold the spirit of liberation war, if we want to save the spirit of liberation war, we have to strengthen Awami League.

Mentioning that one mega project after another is being implemented in the country with the immense courage of the Prime Minister, the Minister for Road Transport and Bridges said the dream Padma Bridge is at the end of construction, the country's first metro rail has become visible and construction of Bangabandhu Tunnel is underway.

The minister further said that work on several mega projects including Matarbari project, Rooppur nuclear power project, elevated expressway, four-lane highway, BRT is in progress.

Obaidul Quader said that now the per capita income in Bangladesh has exceeded two thousand two hundred dollars, the foreign exchange reserves have exceeded 48 billion US dollars.

Noting that a party does not see so many development achievements, the general secretary of Awami League said, "Sheikh Hasina's development and achievements make a class of intellectuals and politicians angry." They see the darkness of night in the light of day.

Obaidul Quader further said that the roots of Awami League are very deep in the soil of this country.

The meeting was presided over by Natyajan Ataur Rahman, President of Bangabandhu Adarsh ​​Forum.
