News Desk: In the last 24 hours, 19 more people have died in the corona unit of Rajshahi Medical College (RAMEC) Hospital. Of these, four died of corona and 15 died of symptoms. Director of Ramek Hospital Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani confirmed the matter on Tuesday (July 8th) morning. He said 19 people died in different wards of Ramek Hospital Corona Unit from 8 am on Monday to 8 am on Tuesday. Of these, 13 males and 8 females died. Most of the dead were between 35-65 years of age. He added that 10 people from Rajshahi, one from Chapainawabganj, two from Natore, two from Naogaon and one from Pabna, one from Kushtia, one from Chuadanga and one from Joypurhat were killed in the last 24 hours. Among them, one from Rajshahi, one from Natore, one from Naogaon and one from Pabna died due to corona. On the other hand, nine died in Rajshahi, one in Chapainawabganj, one in Natore, one in Naogaon, one in Kushtia, one in Chuadanga and one in Joypurhat. The families of the deceased have been instructed to bury in accordance with the hygiene rules. Meanwhile, regarding the admission and transmission of patients, the director of RAMEC said that in the last 24 hours, 6 new admissions have been made to RAMEC. 63 people have returned home after recovering. There are 198 cases of coronavirus in Ramek and 292 cases with suspicion and symptoms. In the last 24 hours, Ramen had 469 patients against 454 beds. Regarding the corona test, the director said that in the last 24 hours, the PCR machine of Ramek Hospital has tested 262 samples and 75 corona positive reports have been received. On the other hand, in the PCR machine of the medical college, 123 corona positive reports came out of 430 sample tests. A total of 612 samples were tested in the two labs. The corona positive result of 201 people. Considering the test, the detection rate is 29.03 percent. Note that the number of beds in Ramek has increased by 50.
