Mayor Tapas requested not to return to Dhaka on Eid

News Desk: South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh has urged those who have gone home for Eid to return to Dhaka after the lockdown. He made the call after offering prayers in the first congregation of Eid at the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram on Friday (May 14th). Mayor Barrister Fazle Noor Taposh said, “After a month of fasting, we are celebrating Eid today. I wish Eid to the people of Dhaka.

We are celebrating Eid in Corona. I wish you all to be healthy, to follow the rules of hygiene. The mayor said, "I am requesting those who have gone to different districts from Dhaka to celebrate Eid with their loved ones not to return to Dhaka before the government restrictions are lifted." Earlier, the first congregation was held at 8 am on Friday. The two rak'at prayers of Eid were held for about 19 minutes.

Then a special Eid sermon was held. At the end of the sermon, the first congregation of Eid ends with munajat.
