Police sent agricultural workers from Lalmonirhat to different parts of the country

Lalmonirhat Correspondent: The Lalmonirhat district police is sending 'agricultural workers' to cut paddy in different parts of the country under special arrangements as all types of passenger transport are closed due to a severe lockdown situation announced by the government to prevent coronavirus or Covid-19 epidemic. It is learned that all types of passenger transport are closed in the country due to the lockdown situation announced by the government to prevent the transmission of the Novel Coronavirus. In such a lockdown situation, the agricultural workers of Lalmonirhat are currently unemployed and jobless. On the other hand, even though the boro paddy harvesting season has started in different districts including Comilla, there is a crisis of agricultural labor. However, in the ongoing lockdown situation, these workers are not able to go out of the house.

Therefore, the traffic department of the district police took initiative to send these agricultural workers to different areas to cut paddy in a special arrangement to keep the agricultural economy afloat. This activity will continue in the coming days. For this, the district police have asked the workers who want to go to the outer districts to cut paddy or go for agricultural work to contact the concerned police station. Asked about this, Lalmonirhat Police Superintendent (SP) Mrs. The sending of 'agricultural workers' has started. On Saturday, 12 agricultural workers of the district were sent. It will continue in the coming days.
