Chatmohar (Pabna) Representative: Green after field ceremony. Rice husks have appeared in that green field. The paddy plants have started turning green and turning yellow. The farmers of the area have started dreaming of golden stalks of paddy. Boro farmers say the weather has been very favorable since the planting of rice seedlings.

The plague was less. If the weather is favorable till harvesting and threshing of paddy, a bumper yield of boro paddy will be obtained this time. Looking at Boro's fields across a vast field this season, it would seem that this is the traditional look of abhaman Bengal. The golden stalks of boro paddy are swaying in the wind beyond the limits of vision. And the dreams of thousands of farmers are hidden in this cradle. Boro paddy in the field is now golden in the Chalanbil area, which is known as the granary.

The rice harvesting and threshing festival will start next week. The farmers of this region are making various preparations to collect paddy harvesting workers, open and clean paddy collection, repair paddy threshing machines, and take the paddy home from the land. Other members of the farmer's family are also spending busy time with the farmer.

These images have been seen in several villages of Chatmohar Upazila. However, last week's Kalavaishakhi storm, hailstorms and recent insect infestations on ripe paddy as well as hot winds have damaged the paddy. The affected farmers will not get the expected yield. Meanwhile, the farmers are also worried that they will be able to harvest paddy at the right time as the lockdown has started at the very beginning.

Zahir Ali, a farmer from Hasupur village in Handial Union, said, “Every year workers from other areas come and cut my paddy. I have talked to that working group again this year. How they come is the issue now. Akhter Hossain, a farmer from Jhakra village, said, "I have cultivated boro on 20 bighas of land." I am worried about the lockdown due to the moment before the rice harvest.

We will suffer a lot if outside workers do not come on time. We will all benefit if we can harvest rice at the right time and take it home. This time BRI-26,29,71,79, germinated and hybrid paddy has been planted in different fields of the Chalonbil region. Of these, more than 28 brie paddy has been planted.

Cutting and threshing of early varieties of paddy will start next week. Farmers said there could be a labor crisis due to lockdowns across the country. There is a hint of the advanced flood.

Farmers were affected by early floods last year. So rice has to be cut quickly. The Department of Agriculture, however, said that this time 'Combine Harvester' will be used to overcome the labor crisis. Chatmohar Upazila Agriculture Officer AA Masumbillah of Chalanbil said boro paddy has been cultivated in 9,400 hectares of land in the Upazila this year.

Of these, hybrid paddy is available in 1,120 hectares of land. There is no obstacle in the movement of workers in the ongoing lockdown. So we hope that the farmer will be able to cut the paddy at the right time and take it home.
