News Desk: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader have said, "The government has taken various initiatives to protect the financially helpless people from coronavirus and lockdown." Following this, food aid will be provided to 1 crore 25 lakh families affected by the lockdown. And for the upcoming Eid, 36 lakh 25 thousand families will get financial support from the Prime Minister.

Obaidul Quader made the remarks at a regular briefing at his official residence on Sunday (April 18th). The general secretary of the Awami League said, "People of all classes and professions, irrespective of party affiliation, must come forward to stand by the government as well as the helpless and jobless people in this crisis of global epidemic."
