Kurigram Correspondent: Police have arrested four accused, including Mehedi Hasan Bandhan, 28 days after the incident of cutting the wrist of Ataur Rahman Mintu, a lecturer in the history department of Kurigram Majida Adarsh ​​Degree College and former vice-president of the district Chhatra League.

This information was given by Superintendent of Police Syeda Jannat Ara at a press briefing with reporters at Kurigram Police Line Conference Room on Thursday afternoon. Mehedi Hasan Bandhan, son of Mukul Bakshi of Shibram village in Kurigram Sadar Upazila, Rashid Miah, son of Nazrul Islam of Kaloa village in Taluk Kaloa of the same union were arrested from Dakshin Khan area of ​​Dhaka and Abdul Jalil of Khollarpar village Police arrested Al Amin Ahmed Shuvo, son of Abdul Aziz Dulal of Baxipara in Krinchpur area of ​​the area from their own home.

Al-Amin Ahmed has already been sent to jail for making a confessional statement under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code in a well-informed court. Superintendent of Police Syeda Jannat Ara said the accused were hiding by changing places 7/8 times.

ASP Utpal Kumar Roy and investigating officer Pabitra Sarkar arrested them on Wednesday night and brought them to Kurigram. Efforts are being made to arrest the remaining accused.

It may be mentioned that on March 18, former BCL leader Ataur Rahman Mintu was blocked by the accused in the Chhinai area of ​​Rajarhat Upazila and his right wrist was severed and his left hand and two legs were cut off. On the same day, Mintu's father Altaf Hossain filed a case with the Rajarhat Police Station, naming 4/5 people, including 11 accused.
