Illegal arms dealer with firearms and ammunition arrested in Chapainawabganj

Chapainawabganj Correspondent: RAB arrested an illegal arms dealer named Kajal (19) with illegal firearms and ammunition from the Lahalamari area of ​​Chakkitti UP in Shibganj Upazila of Chapainawabganj on Monday night. The arrested Kajal is the son of Bishu of Dogachha Hapania area of ​​Tanore Upazila of Rajshahi.

A press release issued by RAB-5 on Tuesday morning said that some illegal arms dealers were smuggling arms from neighboring India into the country. On the basis of such secret information, a team from the Chapainawabganj RAB camp raided the Lohalamari area around 1:15 pm on Monday night.

Kajal, an illegal arms dealer, was arrested along with two pistols, 10 rounds of ammunition, and four magazines. During preliminary interrogation, he confessed to being involved in the illicit arms trade for a long time. A case has been filed at Shibganj police station over the incident.
