News Desk: The government has shed the blood of common people on the golden jubilee of independence. BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said the government was responsible for the bloodshed and deaths.

Speaking at a protest rally in front of the National Press Club on Monday (March 29th) morning, Mirza Fakhrul said law enforcement had shot and killed people indiscriminately. Such killings have taken place on the orders of the government.

They have arrested BNP leaders and activists. The government will have to pay compensation for all this. The BNP secretary-general said the government has failed to control commodity prices ahead of Ramadan. This government does not care about the common man.

The government has failed to meet the basic needs of the people. He said the government should resign, adding that the government was not able to realize Bangladesh's just demands from India. There is no trial for shooting at the border. So the government has to resign.

Mirza Fakhrul also warned that otherwise, the consequences would be like the dictatorial governments of the past. Taking part in the protest rally, Mirza Abbas said that the BNP is making its own movement and does not fuel anyone's movement.
