Withdrawal of BNP's Golden Jubilee program is mysterious: Obaidul Quader

News Desk: Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has also said that the withdrawal of the program taken by the BNP on the occasion of the golden jubilee of independence on the pretext of coronavirus is mysterious.

He said the BNP had withdrawn its Golden Jubilee program knowing that it would be embarrassed by many unresolved issues in history. He was speaking as the chief guest at a discussion meeting organized by Dhaka Metropolitan North and South Awami League on the occasion of 'March 25 Genocide Day' on Bangabandhu Avenue on Thursday (March 25).

Obaidul Quader joined the meeting virtually from his residence. Obaidul Quader said, "BNP spoke about the liberation war but did not say a word about the genocide of 1971. Their silence in this regard clarifies their position on behalf of the invading forces.
