News Desk: Salma Begum, the mother of the slain Raihan, is on a hunger strike in front of the Bandarbazar outpost wearing a shroud to demand the arrest of the fugitive SI Akbar Hossain Bhuiyan and others involved in her son's murder in Sylhet. Many others including relatives have joined him.

They went on a hunger strike in front of the Bandarbazar police outpost from 11am on Sunday.

Raima's mother Salma Begum said, "My only son was snatched from my chest. SI Akbar, the former in-charge of this outpost, and his associates." They brutally tortured and killed my son. I want justice for these killers. Otherwise, my son was killed, let me be shot too.

"I will stay here until my son's killer SI Akbar is caught," he said. This program is not a party program. Therefore, I urge everyone to take part, regardless of party affiliation.

Salma Begum said, my son was killed in this outpost. Although 15 days have passed since the murder, SI Akbar is not being arrested. Besides, the arrest of Akbar's associates in police custody is also not being shown.

He further said that Raihan's mother also claimed that a lot of information would come out if SI Akbar and his associates were arrested and remanded.

 Kotwali Police Station OC Selim Mia told Jugantar that he was in a meeting. I hear that Raihan's mother is on a hunger strike in front of the outpost with some people.

Incidentally, on October 11, Raihan (33), a resident of Neharipara area of ​​the city, was caught at the Bandarbazar outpost in Sylhet and tortured for money. He died in the morning.

Raihan's wife Tahmina Akhter Tani filed a case against the unidentified accused at Sylhet Kotwali Police Station on Sunday night.
