A 14-year-old girl was gang-raped and arrested in Sunamganj

Sunamganj Correspondent: A case has been filed against 5 people for gang-raping a 14-year-old girl in Sunamganj's Doarabazar upazila. Police have already arrested a man named Billal in this incident.

The victim's mother filed the case with the Doarbazar Police Station on Tuesday night (20,10,2020) accusing five people named Hossain, Riazuddin, Billal Hossain, Askir and Ayub Ali. According to police and family sources, a 14-year-old girl from Khairgaon village in Narsinghpur union of the upazila was raped outside her house at 10:30 pm on Tuesday (13.10.20). In this incident the girl fell ill.

The parents were informed at night. Because the rapists were influential, their relatives did not allow the girl's parents to sue. There are various attempts to reach a compromise. On Tuesday (20,10,2020) the girl became more ill and was taken to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital. Villagers and police, including people in the area, could also find out about the incident.
