This time the university admission test will be in three categories

News Desk: It has been decided to admit the students who have passed HSC in 2020 by giving examinations in three categories. Basically, admission test will be taken in 39 public universities online in batch system.

Apart from this, students will be admitted to the affiliated university colleges of the National University on the basis of GPA obtained from SSC and HSC as per the previous rules. Bangladesh University of Engineering (BUET), Dhaka University (DU), Jahangirnagar University (JU), Chittagong University (CU) and Rajshahi University (RU) will conduct separate admission tests under their own management and administration. This year the university admission test may be taken online. Students will be able to participate in the admission test online through the apps. Special software is also being made for this.

This year, the admission test will be conducted in five stages in a coordinated manner in agriculture, engineering and general universities. Among these, three examinations will be conducted for science, commerce and humanities departments in the general university. Last Saturday (October 18) Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology, Vice-Chancellor Prof. A virtual meeting was held under the chairmanship of Rafiqul Alam. Vice Chancellors of 47 public universities of the country took part in the meeting. At the meeting, HSC and equivalent examinations were canceled due to the Corona epidemic, but the decision was taken to admit students at the honors level through public university admission tests.

Education officials say that since the HSC exam has been canceled this year, at least the admission test should be conducted in such a way that students have some opportunity to verify their merits. Otherwise the meritorious may be lost in the crowd of relatively less meritorious at the higher level of education.
