JOB Correspondent: The university administration has waived the delay fee of Jagannath University (JU) students. The university administration said the decision was taken considering the Corona situation. The information was published in a notification signed by Registrar Engineer Md. Ohiduzzaman on the website of the university on Wednesday (October 7).

Under this, delay fee of students will be waived from March to December 2020 this year. The notification said that for the information of all concerned, all the delay fees of undergraduate (honors) and postgraduate students from March, 2020 to December, 2020 have been waived considering the corona virus situation. In this regard, the Registrar Engineer of the University Md. Ohiduzzaman said, if the admission in the next semester is not within the specified time, the fee that would have been paid as a penalty will not have to be paid between March 2020 and December 2020.

However, the monthly salary was not waived. Note that in order to be admitted from one semester to another, the admission fee for the next semester has to be submitted within the stipulated time. If the fee is not paid within the stipulated time, a penalty of Rs.100 / - per day is added for the next thirty (30) days after the lapse of time and a penalty of Rs.1000 / - per day is added after these thirty days.

In the past, there was an opportunity for the university authorities or departmental chairmen to waive the fine, but now there is no such opportunity for the students as Rupali Bank has started collecting fees through Mobile Banking Sure Cash.
